Georgia Tech supports a dynamic commercialization ecosystem that transforms research, ideas, and technologies into real-world impact. 

Core Units

The Office of Commercialization includes five pivotal units—CREATE-X, Quadrant-i, VentureLab, Technology Licensing, and Velocity Startups — empowering students and faculty to launch startups, manage intellectual property, and bridge the gap between research and viable businesses. 

CREATE-X

CREATE-X provides Georgia Tech students and faculty with a comprehensive program that includes education, mentorship, and resources to foster entrepreneurial and startup creation. 

Quadrant-i

Quadrant-i offers a wide range of resources to faculty, including coaching and funding to bring research to market. 

VentureLab

Offering education guidance and training, as well as funding, VentureLab enables faculty and students to take research from lab to market. 

Technology Licensing

Technology Licensing oversees IP generated from research at Georgia Tech, facilitating industry partnerships and research 

Velocity Startups

Velocity Startups is a startup accelerator that propels deep-tech innovation and provides the resources and infrastructure needed for you to take your innovation to market.

ATDC

Founded in 1980 with the mission to help startup companies learn, launch, scale, and succeed, this premier accelerator drives innovation across the state of Georgia.

Engage

Engage is designed to promote innovation through a network of connections between startups, corporations, university researchers, and the venture community.

Biolocity

A philanthropic, multi-institutional program supporting and accelerating the commercialization of early-stage medical technologies with intellectual property held at Emory University and/or Georgia Institute of Technology.

Partnership for Innovation (PIN)

PIN's goals are to improve access and opportunities for people across the South to drive innovation and to create opportunities for all of us to thrive as part of the innovation ecosystem.

InVenture Prize

The InVenture Prize at Georgia Tech is a faculty-led innovation competition for undergraduate students and recent BS graduates of Georgia Tech.

Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI²)

For more than 60 years, the Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI²) has been the trusted resource that has delivered solutions that successfully unlocked potential and fostered socioeconomic opportunity for all.

Flowers Invention Studio

The Invention Studio is a student-run makerspace open to the Georgia Tech community. It is staffed by Prototyping Instructors, student volunteers who are on hand to train you and help with your projects.

Georgia Tech Patent and Trademark Resource Center

The Georgia Tech PTRC connects people to patent-related training and research consultation for students, faculty, and staff on the Georgia Tech campus, as well as inventors, entrepreneurs, artists, and historians from around the state.
